Hi all,
Found this insect in a warehouse at work a couple of months ago. Was taken on my phone - hence the poor image and the long delay to post on here. (only just got the image onto the computer a few days ago!!  )
Any chance of an id?

An Ichneumonid of some sort.

Probably an Ichneumon Wasp. How long was it?

Well, on account of size and overall markings I'd tentatively go for the Sabre Wasp Rhyssa persuasoria - the largest Ich in the country. |

If the white markings along the abdomen are real (and not just artifacts from the photo) then Rhyssa persuasoria is a fair guess ... otherwise it would just have to go down as a pimpline ichneumonid | | |
