It is a Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) - this one is a male.

This species is common south of a line from the Wash to the Severn. North of that line it is much less common, and is scarce in most of Wales and Scotland and northern England. I usualy find it in rough grassy places and amongst nettles and other low vegetation. Did you find it recently?
