Kamikaze bumblebees
It's a bright sunny day and during the last half-hour there have been four large queen bumbleebees hitting my patio window with a resounding thump: three white-tailed ones and one red. All flew off safely.
There are a few bees about as well, making beelines for the ivy flowers.

Because of this risk, I rarely clean my windows!

Well that is as good an excuse as any other.
