Photo attached Hover fly/Bee. I have searched internet hover fly sites and Bee sites but can not find a match.
Any help with ID please?

It's not a bee or a hoverfly, it's a fly. Probably Tachina fera

Matt, here is another record for you:

Tachina fera spotted feeding on ivy flowers.
Around 13:00 on 11 Oct 2010; Sussex University campus, East Sussex, BN1 9QG

I was just about to ask for ID and stumbled on this thread.

Another record Matt, from 10/10/10 in Normanby Hall Country Park (North Lincolnshire, DN15 9HU), many around, several of them feasting on Michaelmas Daisies.
