There is quite a lot about it in this thread rarity-western-conifer-seed-bug.html.
I haven't kept up with sightings, but Western-super-Mare sounds a fair way from other reports. |

| | | Re: long legged shield bug id I found one of these in my bedroom last night (I'm in Dorset). They are described as 'a major pest' should I dispose of it or inform someone? It is still in the house but placed in a very cold area so shouldn't be to active. |

| | | Re: long legged shield bug id There is no longer any need to notify DEFRA (FERA) about this species - it is unlikely to become a serious pest in Britain. They do like overwintering indoors so if it's in a cool place it will hibernate there until the spring. |
