| | | Horsehair worm? My husband was working in a garden today and came across what looked to be a white Horsehair worm. Is that possible. I have only seen brown ones in Google images.
It was very long (around 20cm) and very thin, like a thickened hair with a brown dot on the end (which it raised up, like a snake). Any ideas? |

| | | Re: Horsehair worm? I have found one once before and had it identified as a parasite of (possibly) Rove beetles, this was some time ago and not photoed, but, yes, they do exist.
Sorry Kayleigh, I found this quite an exciting thing to find then, and I would like to see another.
It was just looping around my rose bush.

There's a lot going for a parasite as a pet - no food costs, no vet's bills and more faithful than a dog!
