I think that it's a Digger wasp, possibly a Ectemnius species.

Thank you GK. I have looked up your suggestion and the closest I have found is Ectemnius continuus. Could this be the species?

Possibly, but without a look at the insect in close up, particularly at the top of the thorax and pronotum, it is impossible to give a full ID to species.

Yes, I wouldn't be confident enough to go beyond Ectemnius species.

I have only this image to go on. Whilst I can crop it, I do not think it will give you the information to go further.
