The hoverfly is Eristalis tenax |

Thanks, both! Think I've found the fly - Dactylolabis transversa in the Limoniidae as you said.

I think the Cranefly is more likely to be Limonia nubeculosa although the stripes on the legs are not very visible. It is a common one.
