| | | Interesting crawler for identification Northants. Noticed it battling its way over the weave of our dining room tablecloth.
Size: ~2mm
Its head is at the narrow end (unless it was walking backwards to fool me  ). Help with identification appreciated:

| | | Re: Interesting crawler for identification It is surely the larvae of Anthrenus verbasci. I have no idea if this is similar to the common names Gatekeeper told us.
If it is only this one or just a few (two or three) more, there is no problem. You will find A. verbasci in every household. If you find more than three larvae in your house you possibly should check up all your cloth made of hair (wool and similar), woolen carpets or anything made of feathers, because the larvae feed on this.
Normaly they feed on the hairy dust in our houses, but sometimes they change to the things told above.
