Unusual looking fly
Stony Stratford, Bucks. Entrance to tunnel under A5 (metal lined).

Evening Bruce,

Looks like Euthycera fumigata or similar, a Slug-killing Fly. I suspect female.

Nice one Bruce, I've only just seen a spotty winged Sciomyzidae this year but saw it twice. Not this one though, it was I think Euthycera fumigata which a few or couple of people seem to have posted here this year so it must be doing well. That one is quite different to yours.

Coremacera marginata looks good for yours.
