The general colouration is correct for Micromus variegatus and as far as I can see the wing veins also match. |

Thanks Geoff, I thought it looked similar to the one you ID'd for "Djeyewater", but I could not follow the wing pattern explanation that you sent, so I thought I would give this website a trial.
I'm impressed so far, looks like I might be using it a few more times. I have a file full of "Unknown Bugs" just waiting to be released

Yes at this time of the year we all have a well stocked Unidentified Folder waiting for those long dark wet winter nights.
