| | | Harlequin Ladybird Bites? Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have harlequin ladybirds living in the window sills of my rented flat which I occasionally find in my room. (2 indoor sightings this week)
The other day I noticed a row of bites along the back of my knee (8 in a line and 2 more about 2'' away). After doing some research I discovered that bedbugs seem to bite in this linear patten but I have completely taken my bed and matress apart and can not find any evidence of bed bugs.
Do you think it could be the ladybirds biting? The bites do not itch but are quite sore and inflamed.
Thanks! |

| | | Re: Harlequin Ladybird Bites? Ladybirds can and do bite but just the occasional nip when handled, in my experience. I doubt very much that your bites are from the ladybirds.
I think bedbugs do their deed at night then scurry back to little hidey holes like joints in bed frames etc. Make sure you've looked closely. Other tell tale signs are small blood stains on bedding where the've excreted their last meal or sometimes shed skins.
Of course it could equally be any number of other biting creatures that got you. |
