Hi All,
Can anyone confirm which beetles these guys will grow into? I took them earlier this year.
This one turns up very often. I've always thought its the larva of the devil's coachhorse but I'd appreciate an expert opinion!

I am by no means an expert but I would agree with you about the Devil's Coach Horse larvae (did a bit of a google images search so not exactly a scientific basis for ID!) but I've no idea on the other, sorry. Hopefully someone else can offer a suggestion.

Morning GB,
The way to seperate Carabid from Staphylinid larvae is apparently the tarsal claws - Rove Beetles have one, Ground Beetles have two.
Yours has one, making it a Staphylinidae member. As for which, I have no idea how identifiable the larvae are - just keep an eye out in the general area for them as they mature.
