| | | i have found this! i was in my garden today and this jumped on me from the lavender bush.
i have never seen one before, i researched it a bit and think its a speckled bush cricket, is this right? i live in Wetherby in Yorkshire and it says they don't live up here though. I presume its just wandered up because of the nice weather? It was amazingly beautiful. |

This is the distribution map in the NBN gateway, with some northern - sparser -records, including Yorkshire. Given both males and females are flightless, I don't think they are able to move that rapidly even with nice weather. Maybe the record is interesting and you could submit it to the appropriate society? (sorry but I cannot help there!)
