| | | Migrant Hawker? Can someone please confirm this is a Migrant Hawker. If so, it's a first for me, and a first of the species I have seen at my local eco park in London. Taken with a Sigma AF 70-300mm f4-5.6 at 300mm
Thanks, Les. |

| | | Re: Migrant Hawker? Thanks Dogghound! Wow, that's exciting for me! It wasn't till I uploaded to my computer that I thought, no that isn't a juvenile Emperor, so I Checked at the British Dragonfly Societies site - but just needed confirmation.
Thanks for comments on pics. I was lucky to get several in-flight pictures (that's a first for me too). A good day, especially pleased with that lens (which isn't easy to handle when your used to a 105mm macro).
Thanks, Les. |

| | | Re: Migrant Hawker? Superb Les! And it wasn't a lucky shot. You got quite a lot of good ones. I love the frontal shot, how on earth did you do that??

| | | Re: Migrant Hawker? Thanks Africa! Well, luck and perseverance, I think. Manual focusing was a big help, and 'trying' to follow-focus. It worked again today with a few shots. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
