are these two spiders the same species and if so what??

Two from today. are these the same species they look the same to me found several hours apart in two different meadows also can anyone name them please? regards tn.

Two orb-web spiders; the left hand image Araneus diadematus + RH image is A. quadratus.

To me, both look like Araneus quadratus.
