| | | Re: Harvestman ID Any idea for the size of the first one, particularly the second leg length?
To me, the legs appear too short for Phalangium opilio so I am thinking more about one of the Oligolophus or Paroligolophus species, but there are a few other possibilities so a size would be helpful.
Gordon, is about on the Spider Forum so hopefully he might see this question and give a straight forward reply. He can do it by eye, but I need to follow the Keys, hence size is a great help!
The second harvestman is probably the same as my recent post Two Harvestmen requiring ID help Which is probably Mitopus morio.
They usually prefer cool damp places. |

| | | Re: Harvestman ID The body size was, I'd guess, around 8mm, couldn't tell how long it's legs were as it scurried back into the undergrowth. |

| | | Re: Harvestman ID Well if it was reasonably large I suppose it could be a poorly marked female Phalangium opilio at an odd angle where the legs appear to be rather short.
Definitely one for Gordon I would say. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
