A couple of shield bugs.
#1 looked like it was about to predate some caterpillars.

Might be a Hawthorn or Birch shield bug but didn't get a good shot of the top, don't know if it is possible to narrow it down further

1. Is Picromerus bidens which will predate caterpillars.
2. Not sure if you can ID this one, its not a hawthorn shield bug though. |

Thanks for having a try, I'll annotate it as "possibly". | The shape looks good for Gorse Shieldbug, has the yellow margin to the thorax/abdomen + when newly emerged often have some of the almost reddish colour dorsally ( as I noted yesterday when we beat some of these from Gorse in Richmond Park). Also I'm guessing this photo was taken on heathland where some gorse spp are close by. | | |
