| | | A few IDs from Scotland please Whew - what a marvellous place Scotland is - 9 raptors in 10 days.
We had a few unknowns - any help appreciated....
Is this a bark beetle of some kind?
Is this a caddis fly - or a longhorn moth?
What is this caddis fly?
This is like a mint leaf beetle but the wing cases are shiny brown
A caterpiller on wet bog foliage
A small colourful chap
finally a bit of beach fun:
best regards

| | | Re: A few IDs from Scotland please I reckon the small colourful chap is a nymph of Eupteryx sp. But it's hard to be sure from a 4 mm-long image! |

| | | Re: A few IDs from Scotland please It's tricky with small photos, but I think the first one is Oieceoptoma Thoracicum, and I think the caterpillar is a Fox Moth.

| | | Re: A few IDs from Scotland please Ahh thanks you Dogghound - we at first thought it was the mint leaf beelte as it seemed to be on a mint type plant, but the brown wing cases threw us.
We have rosemary leaf beetle in Cheshire and of course lily beetle, so the mint one is one we are yet to find.
best regards
