A good book on Ants

After reading the thread on how to get rid of ants it made me think of the fact that I also don't really like ants. I usually find the key to tolerance is understanding so I was looking around for some books on Ants to get a better idea of their world to try and view them in a new light!

I have browsed around and found a couple of titles and wondered if anyone else has read them and what they thought.

The Lives of Ants - Laurent Keller and Elisabeth Gordon

Journey to the Ants - B Holldobler

Or if their any other titles to consider?

Another couple of good ant books are:

The Ants of Surrey by John Pontin ( Surrey has 30 of the 42 native species)

Naturalist's Handbooks No. 24; Ants by Skinner + Allen
