We had a problem last year with badgers digging up the grass. Until you see it you wouldn't believe the mess they make would you?
I bought a cheap set of those solar powered garden lights. Think they cost about £20. People laughed at me but the badger didn't do it again. |

| | | Re: Badger digging up my lawn It could also be a fox.
Either way they are probably looking for earthworms or various grubs. Badgers will also dig up some bulbs.
Some people recommend growing onions or other strong smelling/tasting plants. Although badgers can get a taste for unusual things.
Carrots are a particular favourite for badgers.
I seem to remember some zoos were selling lion dung fertiliser which was supposed to scare away foxes and badgers, but I don't have any personal experience of using this.
If it is a badger, I can only suggest that you make friends with it as trying to outwit it will only drive you crazy. Badgers always win in the end. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
