Snail (photographed recently on rotten wood, in fairly moist ancient woodland near Greenham Common, Berkshire)
Hoverfly (photographed on hedgerow near Goring, Berkshire, in May). |

The Hoverfly is Epistrophe eligans, common in the Spring.

I'm going to go with Discus rotundatus (Discus snail) - it was around 5mm in size.
