| | | Two slugs for ID
I found these two slugs on the underside of my compost bin yesterday – am I correct in saying they are two different species?    |

The second is Limax flavus- a species normally found close to habitation + a species which often seems to make nocturnal visits to my kitchen!  |

Agreed number 2 is definitely Limax flavus.
I can't be certain about number 1 - with the photo from above I can't see the foot or the pneumostome - but I think it's probably Limax marginatus. How long was it?

That's about spot on for L. margiunatus so I'm fairly confident of that ID now.
