Can anyone tell me what this is please?
Hi, can anyone tell me what sort of fly this is please. It was on the wall of my house this morning and is approx. 10mm long.

I think this is a Ruby-tailed wasp, Chrysis ignita.

It's a parasitic wasp in the family Chrysididae, no way you can get a definite ID for it. Chrysis ignita group is the most often encountered, that covers more than one species.
