| | | Hoverfly ID confirmation I've got this one pencilled as Syrphus ribesii, but there seem to be a lot of species that look like this, so I'm far from sure.
Roughly 1cm length.
Help with ID/confirmation would be appreciated  . |

It's male. It's eyes seem to lack hair so I doubt it's Syrphus torvus, so that really leaves Syrphus ribesii and S. vitripennis which can't be reliably seperated from a photograph in my opinion, it needs a microscope to examine the basal cells.
