| | | flie for id please after searching through the insect Gallery and the a-z, i cannot find one quite like this, the closest i can find are Tachina sp and Phaonia sp, but knowing absolutely nothing about flies, i am probably miles away from the correct id
any suggestions most welcome,

Yes, a Flesh Fly Sarcophaga sp. We have 50+ in the UK, and most couldn't be done from photos.
