I was in the garden earlier and actually saw this wasp take a hoverfly in mid-air, land on a near by grass stalk and proceed to munch its way through it ... nature in the raw ...   |

I saw this for the first time last month, at least you had your camera on you which is more than I did!

Reminds me of a couple of years ago when I manning a stand for the EWT and a wasp wrestling a hoverfly just landed on th etable about a foot in front of me. Made us both jump so I only manged a blurry photo before it flew off! |
