Ah no, but it's a male leg! All the male hind femora are shaded; Syrphus ribesii, vitripennis and torvus ( same with S. rectus - but I think that's debatable for inclusion really!).
Here, I don't think we can see the eyes close enough to rule out torvus - and ribesii and vitripennis males are differenciated by microscopic characters of the basal wing cells.
That said, I'm only finding Syrphus ribesii and vitripennis males currently - more so of vitripennis. Still, yours could be torvus as they are still around, or easily the common ribesii!! So... it's going to have to be Syrphus sp., I'm afraid.
