hi was wondering if any body can tell me what this black insect is,it was underneath my window at the back thanks  
not the best photo sorry i do have a video of the insect as well but dont know how to post video |

It looks like a breeding pair of bumble bees.

Yep-the male red tail bee is much smaller than the big black and red female, and he has yellow on the thorax and a yellow face. Congratulations on capturing them "in the act"!
