| | | Bug ID The first image I believe is a Sailor Beetle. The second is obviously a ladybird, would like an idea on species and colour form if known? |

| | | Re: Bug ID Evening Seb,
As for the second, I'm not sure of the Fourteen-spot Ladybird comes in different forms as such - this one looks pretty typical to me.
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Bug ID Propylea quattuordecimpunctata has two forms the form seen in the photo on this thread and another form where the colour is reversed so it is yellow spots on a black body. Both forms are common. |

| | | Re: Bug ID Thanks guys. Dogghound, I know sometimes the colour forms are represented by latin names (i.e, harlequin ladybird - Harmonia axyridis f.succinea) - do you know what form this is. I would guess at f.typica? |

| | | Re: Bug ID Ive never heard individual latin names for these forms. Ive always known them simply as a dark form or typical form. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
