A bumble bee
A fly
Possibly Pimpla hypochondriaca
Another fly about 3/8in long

and the small flies at the bottom look like tephritid (picture wing) flies

The first fly is as BB says - Eriothrix rufomaculata. Below that is likely an Ichneumon, but probably unidentifiable - doubt it's hypochondriaca, it seems too small/not quite robust-looking enough.
I'll look into the Tephritids, but suspect John will beat me to it!

Do you have any burdock in the garden or locally? |

Do you have any burdock in the garden or locally? | Thanks for the ID. I did note the similarity to the picture fly in Chinery's Complete British Insects but the species shown was different.
We certainly have plenty of burdock in the area but not in the garden so far as I am aware.
