| | | Which Chrysops?? Can anyone help with an I.D. on this please?
I believe it is genus Chrysops, but would like, if possible, to take it down to species level.
Photo was taken on the edge of woodland in a peat extraction area in South Yorkshire.
Any help (or a correction to my own i.d.) would be appreciated.

So that I can learn for the future, can anyone detail the pertinent features that were used for ascertaining the species?
Thanks
