Fly I.D. please,poss tachinid

First of todays unidentified is this fly - possibly a tachinid but I'm usually wrong

Looks more like a muscid to me - but I'd be quite happy to be proved wrong

Well you know far more about Diptera than I do, so you could well be right!

Sometimes from photos it's a fine line - I'm by no means certain, just a gut feeling.

I'm plumping for a tachinid as well. Good hairy abdomen tend to suggest this group

Been off surveying for Bumblebees this week in Wales, hence the delay in answering.

I saw this before I went and pushed the photo over to Chris for a second opinion. It is a Tachinid, one of the genus Solieria. Unfortunately, the species can only be separated by a microscopic examination of the male genitalia and females can't be ID's to species at all, so Solieria sp. is the best we can do from a photo.
