It is a Pill Woodlouse , Armadillidium sp.
Presumably it looks different because it is moulting.

From the thumbnail I was about to suggest the Common Pygmy Woodlouse, but a quick view of the actual one shows a steeper-sided insect with the typical mottled lines down the back and top-sides.

Does it crawl forward out of its old shell/coat?
What is the white segment, the old or new shell?
