Seeing the other posts reminded me of these photos I took 2 years ago. I think 2 might be southern hawkers from the other threads, not sure of the 3rd as it's darker blue. It was an amazing half an hour, I went to bring in the washing and saw the 1st one, ran in to get my camera and whilst I was taking it's photo the other 2 turned up, managed to grab a few pics before they flew off. I've never seen them before and not since, as I'm at least a mile away from any water, I assumed they must have been blown off course from where ever they were going?

I reckon that you have Migrant Hawkers there,the first a female,and the last two are males.

Sometimes you can get swarms of dozens or even hundreds exceptionally, especially near the coast with there has been some migration.
