I'd always assumed blue bottles were blue  but going through the Gallery I found a photo which looked mine, (well much better than mine), so are the attached photos of a blue bottle?

| | | Re: Fly ID please These are the Flesh Fly, family Sarcophagidae. There's too many similar species to get a definite ID but the really big ones with huge feet are likely to be Sarcophaga carnaria.
