| | | Identification of this hornet type insect We found this dead on the grass this evening. Looks like a black hornet type insect, but would appreciate a proper id.
Found in Hampshire. Wing tip to wing tip 60mm.  |

It's a Sawfly, and possibly from the Cimbicidae family. An expert should pop-by soon...
