Hi ctid, welcome to wab. This is a Six-spot Burnet (although it may look like it only has 4 spots on each wing!)

Thanks for the confirmation. The photo's were taken in my back garden (in Mid Suffolk) on the wildflower patch, it is on a Scabious flower. I first saw one last summer but this year there are lots in the garden, since seeing them in the garden I have seen literally hundreds when walking the dog over the fields I suppose it is like most things once you have got your eye in you start to see a lot more.
