| | | Crane Fly? Another one from my weekend trip to Wales - this was taken on the wetlands reserve near Newport. Could it be a freshly-emerged crane fly of some sort? It looks like a crane fly, but seems very pale in colouration ... |

Same Dipteran sub-order - Nematocera. This is a Non-biting Midge, Chironomidae family. Probably the sub-family Orthocladiinae.
It's a girl.
