Green bottle ID please

I saw these yesterday, are they both green bottle-Lucilla Caesar?

Afternoon Jane,

Not too sure - these can be tricky and really require a specimen, key and microscope to be certain. These could actually be two different species based on colour (which can be unreliable, since with age they can redden).

You can sometimes see other green flies that look like GBs, but are actually from the Muscidae/Tachinidae group.
