Took this photograph of a Peacock butterfly at Messingham nature reserve Lincolnshire today. It looked in pretty good condition for the time of year.  |

Nice image Roger, thats got to be the latest one on the wing that I have ever heard of, a great find for December. 
I was half hoping to find a late Common Darter on Saturday, never had a dragon in December!, but alas, it wasn't to be.  |

Good image- must have got too warm in its hibernating place. Let's hope it didn't burn up too much fuel or re-filled up, still plenty of flowers around. | | |
