| | | Bumblebee confirmation I think I've got these right, but confirmation from knowledgable people would be nice. Or it's back to the drawingboard, fer me.
1. ? B bohemicus
2. Ditto
3. ? B. pascuorum |

| | | Re: Bumblebee confirmation Sorry but it appears that all the knowledgeable people are busy!
So it's just a few guesses from me.
The first 2 appear quite possible for B. bohemicus. But I'm not too happy about the rather clear yellow abdomen side stripes on the second pair of photos. That does make me wonder about B. vestalis.
B. pascuorum would appear quite reasonable.
With so many males about now, bumblebee identification is a total nightmare so, in all honesty, I can't offer much except the hope that this rather insufficient reply with tempt on of the real experts to step forwards. |

| | | Re: Bumblebee confirmation Thanks Geoff.
I too pondered on #2. as B. vestalis. |

| | | Re: Bumblebee confirmation #1 is another which appears to have too short a head for a male B. hortorum.
I can't count the antennal segments, but the colour pattern fits that of a female Bombus barbutellus given that it looks to have a short head.
#2 does look like B. vestalis.
#3 definitely B. pascuorum
