| | | Oleander hawkmoth Walking my girls to school yesterday along London's Portobello Road, I came across an Oleander Hawkmoth. Does anyone know if there are a lot about this year?
The girls were highly thrilled - it seemd a bit dazed and settled on my finger for a bit. It appeared to have eggs attached to the side of its abdomen. Perhaps it had been parasitised, or maybe squashed a bit. Any ideas?
Thanks. |

| | Re: Oleander hawkmoth It's a very rare migrant to the UK. Given the location I would say it's most likely an accidental import or an escape/release by a breeder.
