Blue Tailed Damselfly?

Hi,

A new visitor to the pond today.

I think this is an immature female Blue-Tailed Damselfly (form infuscans obsoleta) but would really appreciate another opinion. It was a quick visit today but she did reduce the fly population by one while I was watching fascinating to watch as it was the first time I have observed a 'kill' closely.

Its f.rufescens-obsoleta which is the mature form of infuscans obsoleta.

This is a mature female Blue-tailed Damselfly and used to be known as the form infuscans-obsoleta (now called rufescens-obsoleta).
The immatures that develop into this form are the ones with the pink thorax & the typical blue 8th abdomen segment, known as form rufescens.

I think that that's right anyway, it gets a bit confusing when names are changed!
