| | | Monster Bug Hi, can anyone identify this flying insect found in my garden this morning? I'm sure it was trying to lay eggs in my wooded plank border.
It was about 3 inches long, flies, and get me a fright, I can tell you!
Any help to stop me panicking gratefully received!

| | | Re: Monster Bug It's a lovely Horntail - Urocerus gigas. They do lay eggs in wood, usually pine. It's a female! I get them in my kitchen every year.
