| | ID Please...Unidentified Hornet Moth / Clearwing / Hornet? Hi,
Apologies for the poor photo, managed to get it to hold onto a stalk with white paper behind for a quick capture - found this flying round the garden and thought it was originally a hornet...upon it landing, it was more like a clearwing moth, but then the dual ovipositor/sting/protuberance from the abdomen threw me...
Any help or steer would be much appreciated
best regards

It looks like a Greater Horntail Sawfly ( Urocerus gigas)
