Frest or green shield bug?
This accompanied me for coffee in a local cafe yesterday, crawling round my neck! Not sure how far it had travelled. It was about half the size of a Green shield bug and brown coloured with green legs and underside.

Oh - in that case I hope it hadn't got seperated from its young I noticed later that the hedges were being cut across the road. I'm just glad for both of us that it didn 't land in my coffee ( I put it on a windowsill outside)

Thanks for the ID - I've been looking them up ad it's made interesting reading. It was found that if more than one adult with young were kept together mor eggs survived attacks from ants as they cooperated in guard duties.
