Robber fly on left and ichneumon wasp on right, is my guess - and the best of luck with narrowing it down any further!  |

From the leg colouring I can see on the robberfly I would say Dioctria hyalipennis, one I have regularly.
The Ichneumon looks like a male Ichneumon stramentor, the female has yellow on the tail tip and white bands on antennae. INSECTES14ter-3-1

On that site there are some very non-descript-looking ones that we may not have in the UK. As you say, it's good none-the-less.
