Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Mirid no 2 for Id please I wonder if this could be a variation of Deraeocoris flavilinea. Front and rear of prontotum narrowly white.
I'm about to post one, which looks quite different but I think is that.
Janet

| | | Re: Mirid no 2 for Id please I've been checking on this further and the photo looks very like one I came across of Lygus pratensis - is that likely? |

| | | Re: Mirid no 2 for Id please Lygus is also a good call, especially for the antennal colouring, and at 6 mm it would fit slightly better than D. flavilinea (normally closer to 8) even though I've not seen many Lygus with a pronotum so dark. The Lygus species are really hard to separate with any certainty, although the colouring is more typical of pratensis than of other species. It's certainly not a classic example of it, but could well be that! |

| | | Re: Mirid no 2 for Id please definitely Lygus - as Joe says, very difficult from a photo. In the southeast reddish examples like this are usually L. pratensis |
