Mystery Butterfly?

I saw this on the rough land by my stables.It is about the size of a 1p piece.Very red,very shy and very quick,hence the rotten photo.There where two of them.Fly like butterflies but seem to rest with wing open and with thm upright(I would say like a moth and a butterfly...)
What is it???

It is a butterfly,and one of the Skippers,but I wouldn't like to say which one without a clearer photo.

Thank Jason,I've just looked up 'skippers' on the internet and yes that's my butterfly...
As for a clearer photo

I nearly died amongst all those nettles,brambles and bees!!! I guess my 'wildlife' photography needs a little more fine tuning and I need thicker jeans...

hello mrsp,

Chances are its a large skipper. You can just about make out a broad dark edge in the photo, the other skippers likely to occur in that habitat have fine dark edges which I don't think would show up in that photograph.
